JENNIE I. SANDERS

Jennie I. Sanders joined MJB Asset Management in 2013 as Senior Investment Strategist. Jennie has worked with high net worth individuals since 1999. Prior to MJB, Jennie was a portfolio manager in Wells Fargo's Private Asset Management group in San Francisco, Dallas and Austin. She then joined Merrill Lynch's Private Banking & Investment Group in Austin as a financial analyst, where she managed equity and bond portfolios as well as analyzed and recommended investment plans and asset managers for ultra high net worth clients. While at Wells Fargo during the dot-com boom, Jennie witnessed first-hand the "irrational exuberance" that can take hold of investors and markets, leading to bubbles such as the spring 2000 dot-com peak and subsequent market corrections. Jennie's experiences navigating the dot-com implosion and more recent market dislocations have shaped her approach in assessing trends in investor and market behavior; her investment management style is geared toward helping clients achieve their goals while feeling comfortable during market advances as well as corrections.

Jennie also volunteers her time to support the potential needs of animals, children and adults. She has served in many roles at Austin Pets Alive!, a rescue group that helped make Austin a no-kill city for companion animals, including fostering many dogs and puppies. Jennie also has tutored underprivileged children as part of the Sunshine Camp, raised money to send grieving children to camp as part of Big Hearts for Brave Hearts and taught English as a Second Language to adults for Literacy Austin/LifeWorks. Jennie's volunteer work has helped her recognize the importance of creating environments in which individuals can transcend whatever limitations they might feel as a result of their individual life circumstances.

Jennie holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
